This Iron & Manganese Filter & Pelican Water Softener Alternative Combo System gives you quality, iron-free water with minimal maintenance.
This Iron & Manganese Filter Combo System reduces the appearance of red/orange stains. It delivers higher quality and better-tasting water throughout your home.
Iron staining and hard water can be double trouble for your water-using appliances, often resulting in red or orange staining and scale buildup. But the Pentair Iron & Manganese Filter and Pelican Water Softener Alternative Combo System fights back using a multi-stage approach to treat your water for these problems, as well as sediment and chlorine reduction from your water throughout your whole home. Plus, an advanced non-electric dosing system delivers targeted performance to oxidize and wash away iron and manganese. The addition of a Water Softener Alternative can prevent hard water scale buildup without the need for salt refills.
The 5 micron prefilter system helps protect your appliances and filtration system from the damaging effects of dirt, debris, and other small particles.
In the patented mixing chamber, chlorine concentrate collides with your water to reduce nuisance organisms.
This stage oxidizes and traps iron and manganese in a filter media and gravel underbed before flushing them out via backwashing.
Backwashing cycles are controlled by the electronic meter on the top of the tank. This can be set to backwash every specified number of days or as the electronic head recognizes that a certain amount of water has been used.
Our carbon filtration system improves your water’s taste and odor while reducing chlorine, chloramines, particulate matter, and other treatment chemicals.
Our water softener alternative can help reduce hard water scale buildup and plumbing clogs without using electricity or wasting water.

Depending on your water quality and the corresponding levels of iron, your new treatment system can last between 10 and 15 years if you keep up with routine maintenance.
You should add chlorine to the system every 2-3 months based on usage. Replace the sediment pre-filter every six months and replace the carbon and iron filtration media after five years.
The WF6-P is sized for homes with 1 to 3 bathrooms and has a maximum flow rate of 10 GPM. The WF10-P is sized for homes with 4 to 6 bathrooms and has a maximum flow rate of 15 GPM.
The up-flow design means there are no moving parts in the Water Softener Alternative. This design eliminates backwashing, so no wastewater needs to be flushed, and no electronic head is required.
