HOW IT WORKS
01 Sediment Reduction
Tap water passes through a polypropylene meltblown sediment cartridge to reduce heavy dirt and sediment to help prevent premature plugging of the twin carbon blocks that reduce contaminants.
02 Contaminant Reduction
Water continues through a set of twin carbon blocks with lead reduction media. This block reduces chlorine taste & odor, lead, cysts, atrazine, lindane and sediment.

Can I buy a cartridge with increased contaminant reduction claims?
For increased contaminant protection, Pentair offers other systems in the FreshPoint portfolio, including FreshPoint 2000 and FreshPoint 3000, that have increased contaminant protection.
Do I need to use a side faucet or can I connect directly to my current faucet?

Can I hook the system up to my hot water line?
No, the cartridges are only designed for cold water filtration only.
How do I know when to replace my cartridge?
Cartridges should be replaced every year (or 750 gallons). A couple of signs that a cartridge needs to be replaced are reduction in flow or chlorine smell/taste.
