The 5 micron prefilter system helps protect your appliances and filter system from the damaging effects of dirt, debris, and other small particles of sediment.
In the patented mixing chamber, chlorine concentrate collides with your water to reduce nuisance organisms.
This stage traps iron and manganese in a filter media and gravel underbed before flushing them out via backwashing.
Backwashing cycles are controlled by the electronic meter on the top of the tank. This can be set to backwash every specified number of days or as the electronic head recognizes that a certain amount of water has been used.

Beyond taste and odor, the volatile chemical nature of chlorine means it can react and form potentially harmful byproducts. But, how much chlorine is ‘safe’?
Chloramine is a disinfectant that consists of five parts chlorine and one part ammonia. So, in a sense, it’s kind of “chlorine plus.” Find out how it gets into your water and how you can treat it.
We’re shining a spotlight on hard water’s relationship with laundry and how you can achieve fresher, fluffier, right-out-of-the-dryer clothes with softer water.
