HOW IT WORKS

01 5 Micron Prefilter System

The prefilter system reduces debris, sand, silt, and sediment in the water supply down to 5 microns in size (20 times smaller than a human hair). The prefilter helps protect plumbing and appliances from excess sediment, increasing their effectiveness. With average use, the prefilter will last approximately 6-9 months before needing to be replaced.

02 Catalytic Granular Activated Carbon Media (GAC

Pentair uses a high-grade mesh blend of coconut shell based activated carbons in its whole house carbon filters. The carbon media is designed to filter common water contaminants like chlorine, chloramines, and industrial solvents, and many more.

03 Copper and Zinc Oxidation Media

This stage aids in the removal of chlorine and extends the GAC carbon’s life.

04 Water Softener Alternative

The Pelican Salt-Free Water Softener Alternative conditions hard water without the use of salt, making them virtually maintenance free. These softeners neutralize the hard-water causing mineral ions instead of removing them, keeping the good stuff in and the bad stuff out, and reducing the formation of scale on appliances.

05 UV

UV does not affect taste, color, or odor of water and uses as little energy as a 25-watt or 40-watt lightbulb.
