Use alkaline AA batteries only. Lithium ion battery use will damage unit.
You will need your Connected Salt Level Sensor, batteries (included), a 2.4GHz router, WiFi, and a full bag of softener salt.
These values compare the salt usage of your water softener over time to ensure nothing changes. These are not an indication of performance or a comparison to other water softeners.
The Bluetooth® wireless technology connection sends the following information to your Pentair Connected Salt Level Sensor:
01. WiFi network name and password
02. Brine tank dimension recorded from tank set-up
Bluetooth® wireless technology is no longer required for operation after your sensor collects this information. The Connected Salt Level Sensor will communicate with the Pentair Home app using the WiFi connection.
The sensor sends a push alert or email when your salt level or battery is low, or when your sensor is offline, regardless of your notification preferences.
Blinking Blue = Sensor is ready to be paired with your device via Bluetooth® wireless technology
Solid Blue = Sensor is now connected via Bluetooth® wireless technology
Blinking Green = Sensor is connecting to your WiFi
Solid Green = Sensor is connected to your WiFi
Red = Time to replace batteries in your sensor
Orange = Sensor is in factory reset mode
Go to Device Settings in the app and select Repeat Tank Set-Up. Your historical softener data (from the previous softener) will be retained.
Hold the mode button for 10 seconds until the mode light turns orange on your sensor to reset to factory settings.
Check that your smart device is connected to your 2.4GHz WiFi signal from your router. The sensor cannot connect to the 5GHz frequency. We chose the 2.4GHz frequency for this product because it has a longer range that is better suited for basements and outdoor locations, whereas 5GHz is designed for shorter distances.
You can have only one email address with an associated password on your account. Other people in your home can use the same email address and password to access the account.
Your sensor connects to the Pentair Home app, which is ready to accept additional Pentair connected devices. However, at this time, the Pentair Home app is not integrated with a smart home hub, or connected via voice with at-home assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Home™ smart speaker.
If your system shows “Offline,” it means that your system has been disconnected from WiFi for the third consecutive day. Offline status may interrupt notifications and data exchange between the sensor and the app. Your Pentair Home app will automatically reconnect the sensor once the WiFi connection restores.
Verify the email you listed on your account. Check your junk or spam folder for the email, and then try to reset the password again.
